No I didn't go Tuesday, but my post was aimed at the guy who's strapline is "armchair fans" and "Laz ee boy". (But I must say for someone always keen about who gets involved in whos squabbles you do find it hard to keep your neck wound in )
But after all that when it came to his clubs biggest game in their history he gave us a 5000 word essay on the reasons he would not be attending, so it would be amiss of me not to mention it.
Anyway you also seem eager on match attending so do tell us the last one you managed?

Chatty I was told off yesterday by GB for saying people didn't go on Tuesday and that being a fan does not mean you have to attend I wonder if GB will also tell you off as what I said is no different to what your saying to Don so he did not get the chance to attend city's biggest night but the United fans on here didn't get to go to United's you did but the others didn't why do you not have a go at those United fans?

Replied: 17th Sep 2021 at 11:52

Posted by: chatty (9771)

Which part of his "strapline is armchair fans and Laz ee boy" did you fail to grasp?
Meaning it is he (and now it seems you also) who is hung up on who actually goes and doesn't go these days, my post was specifically aimed at Citys biggest game in their history in which he felt the need to give us a long winded excuse on why he wouldn't be attending after spending years using the above terms to describe folk on here.
Anyhow with you being of the same mindset has him I didn't quite catch which was the last game you managed to attend?

Judging from your reply to the site troublemaker/resident hypocrite Neverstill, I assume he is incredulously banging on about my decision to understandably refrain from risking the lives and health of both myself and my family by traveling to another country at the height of a pandemic the likes of which the modern world has never seen. What an absolute fool. As far as match attendances and loyalty to my club is concerned he is not fit to lace my boots. Just another plastic armchair "supporter" with ideas above his station. His ilk are an embarrassment to genuine trafford fans.

Splendid, yet another chapter to add to the 5000 word essay

PS. in your initial list of excuses for not going you never once mentioned "risking the lives and health of your or your family" it was all about the hoops you had to jump through..... tests this and tests that!
The pandemic is still very much out there so I take it you still wont have mixed at a football match since, with all the concerns you have mentioned above?

Where is the demand?
If City is the big club some folk on here would have you believe surely they shouldn't have a problem taking up any slack!

And even less on the last game he went to.
And yet he still thinks quizzing folk on the last match they went to actually carries any weight .

Sorry Neverstill my wording was poor on my previous post, it was Chatty I was referring to as the site troublemaker/resident hypocrite.

What these chumps can't squeeze into their dense armchair lolling caverns is that THE CHAMPIONS don't have as big a "customer/tourist base" as trafford or Liverpool. As a result our core support is asked to stump up for every Premier League/EFL/FA Cup/Champions League game along with those of us who go to away games.

That is a helluvalot of games for one person/family to stump up for, and it is totally understandable if supporters pick and choose their games. trafford may not have won anywhere near the amount of trophies as THE CHAMPIONS in the last 10 years and certainly haven't played as many games as THE CHAMPIONS in the last 10 years, but the trafford tourists who can remember the sepia days are still numerous enough to take up the slack. It's not difficult to understand.......even for them.

Now, here's a tough question, would I rather have had trafford's "more fans than you" trophy every year for the last ten years or THE CHAMPION'S bulging trophy cabinet?

Well, as they say, that is a "no brainer"....but enough about trafford fans!

Thinking about it, life must be really miserable for whups right now.

His political reds have won nothing since before 2010 whereas the Tory Blues have dominated.

His football reds have won little in the same time period whereas THE CHAMPIONS Blues have dominated.

All signs point to this continuing for many years to come in both cases.

Come on you Blues!

Whups/ Alan ,
Well i will wager that you enjoyed yesterday's match with relish? I have to admit i did not see it as my grandson was staying the week-end on his trip from home (ESSEX) to Lancaster University it was great having time with albiet only a couple of day's so all the sport was on back boiler so to speak. Yet when i finally got to see all the day's result's well!! to say i was in a bit of a shock is putting it mildly , first the 2-1 result against the blue's then the 3-0 Brighton result ,just what the hell's gone wrong at Anfield ?? SO our next match is a re-arranged one vs Crystal Palace i hope they can keep it up .well done Man.U. sad result for Wigan Athletic still stuck at the bottom .but let's hope EH !! G.B.
